We are so grateful for all the support and encouragement we have received towards our goal of bringing our first child home from Ethiopia! We are praying and hoping our little one will be home with us this year. So if you are like us and have little cash to spare, but would like to lend a hand in some way here are some opportunities:
A friend of ours who is in a local band has agreed to put on a concert to raise money towards our adoption. The band plays 90's rock/alternative music. The date and venue is to be determined. We have started looking at some options. If you are interested in helping plan this event and/or helping to promote it we would appreciate the help.
Another is a Yard Sale on Saturday, June 1st at Belmont Mennonite Church in Elkhart. We are currently collecting donations (things you would normally donate to Goodwill etc.). As time comes closer we would appreciate volunteers to help run the sale with us. A truck will be useful to haul the donations to the sale site from people's houses who are wanting to donate larger items to the sale. Please let us know where you can help.
